We are seeking applicants to join our Outreach Program in a rewarding Casual role as Outreach Worker. We are hoping for applicants who have availability on weekends.
About the Role
The Outreach Worker will be a valued member of the AOD Outreach Program and will provide assertive outreach support to people who use drugs (PWUD) in the North Richmond suburb over a 7 day per week service. This will involve working alongside other staff in a multi-disciplinary team, such as the Complex Care Coordinators and the program’s Specialists who include the Mental Health Worker and the Lived Experienced Worker.
About You
You have qualifications in social or human services, or a Cert IV/Diploma in Alcohol and/or Drugs or Community Services. Community Engagement qualifications are a plus.
You have experience in outreach, harm reduction, community development, mental health, and/or the AOD field. You understand co-occurring drug and mental health issues and can maintain professional case notes and client records. You work well in multi-disciplinary teams to support clients.
Desirable experience includes knowledge of local services, health promotion work, and engaging with diverse communities.
You are committed to supporting vulnerable communities, can build strong relationships, solve problems, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively.
