About the program
The Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Outreach and Engagement Program provides assertive outreach, complex care coordination and community engagement in North Richmond. The multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to build trust with people who use drugs and support improved health and social outcomes while enhancing community wellbeing and public amenity.
About the role
The Program Officer works within a multidisciplinary team to support the Program Manager and Team Leader in strengthening NRCH’s AOD Outreach and Engagement model. The role coordinates operational systems, program administration, data reporting and service improvement initiatives to ensure effective and consistent service delivery across the seven day program.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting strategic planning, service improvement and program innovation initiatives
Coordinating program operations including rostering, administration and internal processes
Managing client information systems, data reporting and performance monitoring
Supporting funding compliance, reporting requirements and program governance
Coordinating program meetings, documentation and operational workflows
Overseeing procurement, petty cash, stock management and program resources
Supporting policy development, procedures and quality improvement activities
Building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support integrated care
Maintaining service directories and contributing to community engagement activities

About you
You are an organised and proactive professional with strong administration, data management and coordination skills who is passionate about community health and service improvement.
To be successful you will bring:
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in health, AOD, community services or a related field
Strong administration, data management and reporting capability
Experience in policy development, analysis or program coordination
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Strong problem solving and organisational skills
Experience working in health or not for profit settings (desirable)
Experience working with diverse communities or multidisciplinary teams (desirable)
Current Victorian Driver Licence and Australian work rights
