About the role
Join our vibrant Child Health and Development team at North Richmond Community Health (NRCH), where you’ll support children aged 0–9 to thrive in their daily lives. As a Paediatric Speech Pathologist, you’ll work closely with families, caregivers, educators, and a dedicated team of clinicians to provide early intervention and family-centred support through both Community Health and NDIS-funded services.
You’ll bring your clinical knowledge and collaborative spirit to a multidisciplinary team of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and a Dietitian, with opportunities to work across our clinic and community settings — including kindergartens, schools, and childcare centres.
Key responsibilities
- Provide speech pathology assessments and evidence-based interventions for children aged 0–9
- Deliver services in both individual and group settings
- Work closely with caregivers, teachers, and other allied health staff to support meaningful participation
- Manage a varied caseload of Community Health and NDIS clients
- Maintain clear, timely and accurate documentation
- Collaborate with co-located professionals including paediatricians and maternal child health nurses
- Provide outreach services as needed
- Supervise students on placement
About you
You're a thoughtful and passionate clinician who wants to make a difference in the lives of children and their families. You’re confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and you bring warmth, curiosity and care to everything you do.
You’ll have
- A recognised qualification in Speech Pathology
- Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Experience supporting children aged 0–9 with speech and language needs (including student placements)
- A collaborative approach to working with families and other professionals
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written
- The ability to use clinical systems and Microsoft Office confidently
- An interest or experience working with CALD communities and interpreters (highly regarded)
