About the role
As a Paediatric Speech Pathologist at NRCH, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on children’s lives by helping them reach their full potential in everyday settings. You will be at play a key role in supporting the communication and development of children aged 0-9 years. You will work in a supportive team that includes Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and a Dietitian. You will also work collaboratively with co-located services to provide coordinated care, including Paediatricians and Maternal and Child Health Nurses. You will receive regular supervision from experienced Speech Pathologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech pathology assessments and interventions for children aged 0-9 years, focusing on individual needs and family-cantered goals.
- Manage a caseload of Community Health and NDIS clients, collaborating closely with caregivers, teachers, and other health professionals.
- Deliver speech pathology services in both individual and group settings, ensuring a holistic approach to each child’s care.
- Provide services in various settings, including clinics, kindergartens, childcare centres, and schools, to meet the unique needs of the community.
About you
You are a dedicated and passionate Speech Pathologist with:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent) and membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Experience delivering speech pathology services to children aged 0-9 years.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- A commitment to providing evidence-based, strengths-based, and family-centred care.
